It is a requirement that all RSLs have an annual Resident Involvement Statement, and carry out an impact assessment on their annual Resident Involvement statement.

An impact assessment is broader than the monitoring and evaluation of performance, an impact can also involve changes or simply be about sustaining the continued effect of a successful involvement activity – an impact could be intended or unintended, negative as well as positive and long-term as well as short-term.

This impact assessment will be used to inform the future development of Resident Involvement and to also influence and improve existing services and strategies, whilst ensuring that we remain accountable to our Residents.
