Older People’s Housing Services covers our 28 sheltered schemes and over 600 units of accommodation with a contact to a care line provider. This accommodation covers 7 local authority areas in the North West.
All our services are delivered under contracts with Supporting People Teams in each Local Authority. All our services are graded as level C or B in terms of the quality they offer. Our accommodation is open to people over the age of 55 and can be accessed through the Local Authorities Choice Based Lettings schemes (for details please go to our Apply For Services page.)
Sheltered Housing is suitable for people who are able to live independently although many residents receive support from outside agencies to help them maintain their independence. All flats are self-contained.
We offer a home for life with the choice of independent living and opportunities to engage in social and recreational activities.
The schemes are staffed by a scheme manager working weekdays 9am to 5pm, at other times there are either on site relief staff or a link to a community alarm service. Daily management of each scheme is delivered by fully trained staff who can arrange access to relevant care professionals.
Also we have six Customer Service Managers who provide a reliable and efficient front line service to residents in all our schemes, provide support for staff on site and ensure a high quality service is delivered at all times.
