Arena Options VTSS (Vulnerable Tenant Support Service) is a ‘floating support’ service which provides advice and assistance to vulnerable people to enable them to maintain their tenancy.
VTSS currently provide floating support under four distinct contracts.

What Support is Provided?
Once accepted on to the scheme each person will agree a support plan with their appointed floating support officer. The plan will identify their individual support needs and aspirations and outline how these will be met.
The scheme offers advice and support on a range of issues including:
- Moving to permanent accommodation
- Advice on equipping and furnishing a home
- Resettlement support Issues relating to tenancy agreements
- Maintaining a tenancy
- Risk of losing your home through eviction or repossession
- Budgeting & money management
- Debt Advice
- Family and Personal relationships
- Accessing support networks and local amenities
- Making a positive contribution
- Accessing training, education and employment opportunities
Referrals can be made by, or on behalf of anyone who:
- Has concerns about their mental health
- Is dependent on drugs or alcohol
- Is a care leaver or is leaving prison
- Is vulnerable due to age or ill health
- Has a learning difficulty
- Has complex or multiple needs
- Is experiencing or is at risk of domestic violence
- Is a young person at risk
- Is inexperienced at living independently
- Is moving out of supported accommodation
- Experiences a physical or sensory impairment
- Is, or is about to become a teenage parent
How To Access VTSS
An initial assessment will take place with the VTSS floating support officer, the applicant and the referring agent. We also encourage self referrals by visiting The Gateway in person, or by telephoning the office to arrange an appointment to call in.
Anyone referred must be in need of support and willing to accept help.
