Free Home Security and Fire Safety check

Within the HMRI area of Anfield / Breckfield , a scheme known as

Target Hardening has been in operation for 4 years.

Target Hardening provides residents, living within the HMRI area, free security measures (e.g., security lights, window locks, mortise locks, house alarm). Also, included is a free home safety check carried out by Merseyside Fire Service.

The beneficiaries of this scheme have been those residents living in the streets that are within the approved demolition areas.

Since the scheme started the number of break-ins to those who signed up for target hardening has reduced by nearly 100%.  And, likewise fires in peoples have reduced by nearly the same percentage.
