Small Scale To Wholesale: Development work varies from small scale new build projects and one-off refurbishments to the wholesale remodelling of entire urban areas. This is typified by the construction of self-contained village complexes, such as Ryfields Retirement Village in Warrington and Project Orchid in the Old Swan district of Liverpool. In Old Swan, 133 new homes across five sites have replaced old tenement flats. These will be followed by a new Tesco supermarket, ambulance station and health centre to complete the renewal process.

As well as homes for rent, Arena develops certain properties for 'shared ownership'. These schemes provide a means of enabling people who would not normally be in a position to own a home of their own to buy a part share and pay rent on the remaining share.
